More Same Fewer

A hunch, not a test. “Same” means the original rabbit count.

You can pause to look. The meadow can wait.

How this little meadow works

Each rabbit eats one blade of grass a day. A rabbit that cannot eat is lost.
Every third day, each fox eats one rabbit. Then each group of four fed rabbits supports one new rabbit.
A fox that misses two hunts is lost. Foxes do not reproduce in this prototype.
Grass can regrow from bare ground. There is room for 72 blades, 40 rabbits, and 8 foxes.

This is a small, fictional system. The same change always has the same consequences.
